I'm an enthusiastic bushcrafter skilled in outdoor techniques and student engagement. I try to plan and deliver experiences that inspire a love for nature and self-sufficiency. I try to foster positive relationships through clear communication, empathy and patience. My main Hobbies over many years have been within Scouting and Bushcraft.
I have a lot of my own equipment that I can use for demonstration and show alternative techniques. I have various ways to start, maintain, and build, effective and safe fires. I can demonstrate safe use of tools, i.e. Knives, saws, and drills. I enjoy basic outdoor cooking on both BBQs and open Fires, using utensils or simple backwards cooking techniques. I am a former scout leader and have always been involved in Scouting since I joined the Cubs. Although not currently a uniformed leader, I help out when needed with various outdoor tasks, including Pioneering ( building structures from wood and rope). Route planning for Hikes and shorter walks. Helping on District events such as night hikes. I enjoy map reading and many practical outdoor tasks. I really enjoy passing on the bushcraft knowledge I have learnt over the years to others and feel a great deal of pride when you see children and adults getting involved in outdoor activities and feeling the accomplishment of learning brand new skills.
I currently have an enhanced CRB with the Football association so I'm OK with anymore checks that are needed.
I am always willing to learn new things. I am equally happy working on my own or within a team, and I like to do the best I can in everything I do. I am at the stage in my life now that I want to spend my time helping and encouraging others.
My other main hobby is as a Match secretary for Camberley Town Football Club I also look after there social media and produce the matchday programme, among many other task that Non-league football volunteers do.
