ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSBILITIES

  • Be an expert in Anti-Social Behaviour, Tenancy Fraud, Breach of Tenancy, Housing Law, Safeguarding and Hoarding.
  • Be a key point of contact for the wider business on all day-to-day operational matters relating to the work stream.
  • Ensure that teams manage the terms of Orbits tenancy agreements and policies ensuring that these are adhered to by both by Orbit and its customers and that action to resolve issues is proactive.
  • Ensure that risks are proactively identified and managed, with regulatory and statutory requirements met or exceeded.
  • Responsible for ensuring an efficient service and key drivers across the teams, inclusive of breach of tenancy, ASB, Safeguarding and legal requirements. In addition, lead on decision making of cases requiring solicitor involvement.
  • Ensure that all financial, performance and personal targets are met.
  • Support policy and procedure development to create clear and consistent ways of working across the business.
  • Establish targets and performance indicators for team members linked to business objectives and manage delivery by monitoring and quickly addressing poor performance, reporting as required.
  • Manage budgets through good use of data and robust monitoring; spend controls and forecasting in compliance with Financial Regulation and Procurement Rules.
  • Proactively develop and sustain appropriate and positive relationships with key stakeholders e.g. Local Authorities, police and other statutory services in order to support teams and deliver business priorities.
  • Drive an open, honest and collaborative culture across the service, supporting and coaching team members to be focussed on performance and achieving excellent outcomes.
  • Drive a culture amongst team members of learning and continuous development linked to improving services and performance outcomes, as well as personal development.
  • Complete quality assurance checks across team to ensure that the service consistently meets the customers expectations.

Managing Anti‐Social Behaviour cases, Domestic Abuse, Hate Crime, Safeguarding and Tenancy Fraud.

The opening of cases investigating ASB, Hate Incidents and Tenancy Fraud cases swiftly by investigating, gathering evidence and using a variety of tools and powers, including preparing case files and Court documents and leading on obtaining injunctions and possession at Court without legal support.

Effectively manage a multitude of Safeguarding (including Domestic Abuse, hoarding and cuckooing) cases within set timescales, reviewing concerns, gathering information, risk assessing and raising alerts to Local Authorities where appropriate, making support referrals, providing advice and signposting.
