Affiliations

  • have a strong interest in positive behaviour support and emotional wellbeing, and I regularly reflect on how understanding behaviour, trauma, and communication can improve both care outcomes and staff confidence. Outside of work, I practise meditation and mindfulness, which helps me stay calm, focused, and emotionally balanced. This supports me to respond thoughtfully to pressure, make considered decisions, and lead with empathy, especially during challenging situations. I also enjoy gardening, which I find grounding and restorative. Spending time outdoors helps me slow down, reflect, and maintain perspective. This interest links closely to my belief in wellbeing, routine, and the positive impact that calm environments can have on mental health. I find real satisfaction in coaching and supporting others, particularly helping staff develop confidence, skills, and a sense of purpose in their roles. Seeing people grow and progress is one of the most rewarding parts of leadership for me.
