* Keeping up to date with protocols and training in the remit of the Register Nurse role;
* Management and leadership of the team when coordinating the unit;
* Perform pre-procedure assessment: correctly identify patient and review information (including H&P, medications, allergies) in a safe and confidential way;
* Acquire consent form for specific procedure, fully explaining the procedure and all the risks and benefits of undertaking it or not;

* Assist with "pulling" supplies, equipment and instruments for procedures after checking with physician concerning the equipment or supplies;
* Determine the availability of all necessary equipment and supplies and assists in procurement of deficiencies;
* Assist in the proper preparation of supplies, medication, equipment and instrumentation involved in patient care and/or treatment;
* Coordinate with ancillary services such as pathology, anticipating items needed during the procedure and assisting physician to assure a smooth procedure;
* Prepare and administer IV sedation as per physician orders;
