As a Practice Nurse, I conducted comprehensive patient assessments and confidently identified and managed long term conditions including pre-diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, and COPD. I reviewed and interpreted blood test results and performed clinical investigations to support diagnosis, treatment decisions, and ongoing patient management. I independently delivered chronic disease management clinics, assessing symptoms, medications, observations, BMI, and pathology results to optimise patient outcomes and support evidence based care.

I regularly referred patients to secondary care and specialist services when additional assessment, treatment, or support was required. A key aspect of my role involved educating patients on health promotion, lifestyle modification, and self-management strategies to improve their quality of life and reduce the risk of disease related complications. I also provided guidance to parents and carers on the benefits of immunisation programmes and potential side effects, ensuring informed consent and understanding.

I safely administered childhood and adult vaccinations in accordance with the UK Immunisation Schedule, Patient Group Directions (PGDs), and organisational policies. I maintained strict adherence to safeguarding procedures, infection prevention and control measures, and vaccine management protocols, including storage, stock rotation, cold chain maintenance, and safe disposal. Throughout my practice, I delivered high-quality, patient-centred care in line with current clinical guidelines and protocols, working within my professional scope of practice to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all patients

• I Started Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust in April 2020 as an 'Aspirant Nurse' during the Coronavirus crisis. This resulted in leaving education early and being deployed to the frontline during the Covid-19 pandemic. I was redeployed to the critical care unit to help with staff shortages and the high demand for patients needing a critical care bed. My daily responsibilities included assessing patients using the A-E assessment, to identify early signs of deterioration through diligent observations. Any concerns then I would escalate them to the nurse in charge and the doctor to deliver quick emergency support. I worked alongside multi-disciplinary teams to improve and meet patients' needs. I respected my patient's privacy and dignity throughout treatment and care and I applied person-care to develop and complete care plans to help the recovery process. I have eased family anticipation by updating regularly on patient progress, developments and treatment changes. I have dressed surgical wounds, monitored healing and replaced bandages to prevent infections. I tracked and addressed patient pain levels, helping promote healing by minimising discomfort. I was able to record incidents promptly and refer patients to the correct service to meet their needs. I have administered, stored and handled medication within outlined regulations. I have overseen, trained and mentored students and junior nursing staff on how to look after a patient In Critical Care safely.

• I worked part time as a store assistant in Tesco whilst in college and university, studying for my nursing degree. I mainly worked on the weekends and evening when overtime was available. My job role included maintaining and replenished stock according to store merchandising layout, ensuring consistent product availability. Expertly handling returns and exchanges, recommending alternative items to reduce store losses. Delivering seamless checkout experiences throughout peak business hours, maintaining customer satisfaction. I provided effective self-checkout assistance, facilitating faster customer transactions and managed customer complaints with prompt, mutually beneficial resolutions. I handled complaints calmly and professionally, minimising conflict and maintaining customer satisfaction. I Attended regular training opportunities to maintain up to date product and service knowledge and helped improve queueing systems and POS till point efficiency, successfully reducing customer waiting times. I provided warm and friendly welcome to customers as they entered the store and helped customers to select products best suited to their tastes, style and needs. I proactively helped customers find products by taking them to item's location or providing directions.
