Work Experience & Volunteering

E Pluribus Unum - Out of many one

I was nominated by the  US Embassy to participate in ‘e pluribus unum'. I represented Forthspring Inter Community Group in Washington D.C. Alabama and San Diego. The journey involved exploring and drawing comparisons of the diversity and dual identity within the United States and the devolved nations of the UK and Ireland. The programme looked at how in diversity, difference, and disparity can we remain unified, actualise equity, and how can we foster trust and understanding between diverse groups

Mastery Ireland

I was nominated by a fellow community organisation to participate in the Mastery Ireland Intensive programme along with a range of nominated community leaders working on peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland.

Ulster Project

I led a group of young people on the Ulster Project (Portadown and Kansas) a peacebuilding and leadership project which seeks to create unity amidst diversity and build strong and empowered future leaders in divided communities.

South Africa

During my degree studies, I was fortunate to live and work in South Africa as part of a placement. I worked with two organisations in Durban and within the KwaZulu-Natal region. My focus during this time was street level outreach, in school programmes, children's supported housing and community based action projects which supported access to direct needs and development opportunities.
