Art

I am an organised and dependable candidate who's very ambitious. I am successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude - with a willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals. I aspire to be a future Interior Designer and I am working towards that goal everyday by gaining skills and experience.
As someone who is interested in art, i jumped on the opportunity to become an Art Ambassador when given the option. This required me to attend meetings during breaks and before/after school hours, as well as attending art clubs after school hours. within this role, I cultivated good relationships with other individuals interested in art as well as organizing campaigns (for example, planning a gallery area in the art section of the school, showing the work of students from all age groups). furthermore, I listened to any issues that students had, regarding art, and attempted to solve them. overall, from this role i gained communication skills, organization, planning, meeting deadlines, teamwork and initiative.
Soon after my enrolment to college in September, I applied to become what the college calls an 'Xtra'. my role includes working on open events and acting as a personal representative of the college. It's essential that I communicate effectively and clearly, and maintain a positive resilience throughout my role. Also, the role has allowed me to develop me independence skills - emphasizing the ability of taking initiative on behalf of a wider group of people, with best intentions in mind.
Another opportunity I have taken on in college is becoming a student representative for my tutor group. In this role I gather input from my tutor group and communicate them to college management in frequent meetings throughout the year. Within this role, it is important that I engage in efficient communication, at all times.
In my time that I have worked at The Blockhouse, I have learned a number of new skills that I can apply to everyday life as well as future jobs. such as:
