- Waitressing- Working as a waitress taught me how to provide exceptional customer service, while also being able to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. As a team we managed a high level of cleanliness, took food and drink orders accurately and maintained smooth service, even when under pressure. I also Welcomed customers and created a friendly and positive first impression. I managed bookings and reservations and communicated closely with the waiting staff to ensure a smooth and efficient service. I used the till to process cash and card payments accurately and efficiently, while also handling customer enquiries and requests in a professional manner.
- Kitchen Porter -As a kitchen porter, I am responsible for supporting the kitchen team and helping to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen during busy services. I am also responsible for placing delivery orders and completing regular stock takes, ensuring that the kitchen has the necessary supplies and that stock levels are accurately monitored. I work closely with chefs and other members of the team, often working under pressure and managing multiple tasks during busy periods. This role has developed my organisation, time management and attention to detail, as well as my ability to work efficiently as part of a team. It has also given me a strong understanding of kitchen operations and how different areas of the restaurant work together.
