  • Waitering for the VIPs has improved my communication and listening skills, this is because I properly welcomed them into the box and noted down all their allergies and dietaries that they may be on like gluten free
  • I also improved my team working skills, as I needed to communicate with the head chef to see when the food was going to be ready and also inform other colleagues on when the food needs to be served and how to serve it to them
  • I also record the requests customers make for items stocked in inventory, this has helped me understand the responsibility I hold and have to make sure that all drinks requested from customers are what is asked and is recorded on the requisition with my signature, so it shows it has been authorised
  • I then staple the requisition to the order sheet they made which will then be recorded into the computer
