I am a 18-year-old outgoing woman who is currently doing the AAT Level 3 Diploma course at MidKent college. From a very early age, I was introduced to the accounting sector by my father who is an auditor. When it was time for me to choose my path in my future education, I knew that accountancy would be a good option for me as the strengths and interests I have, link in with what I would need to do within the accountancy sector. Beyond college, I enjoy spending quality time with my friends & family and have a keen interest in swimming.
In my role as a Trainee Accountant, I support the team with day‑to‑day bookkeeping, VAT work, and the preparation of year‑end accounts. I look after client records, carry out bank reconciliations, process invoices, and help with personal and company tax tasks. I’m also involved in putting together management accounts and statutory accounts, making sure everything is accurate and up to date. Alongside the accounting work, I handle general office administration and client enquiries, and I work confidently with software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Dext to keep financial information organised and reliable.
Alongside my main role, I work Tuesday evenings as a Lifeguard at Larkfield Leisure Centre. My duties include supervising the pools, carrying out regular cleaning tasks, providing first aid when required, and helping customers with enquiries and general support. I really enjoy the role, and it has helped me build confidence, improve my communication skills, and develop a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
