Amariah Nair

I am a hard working individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, always willing to learn more. I am responsible and enjoy working as part of a team, as well as carrying the ability to work on my own initiative. I worked as a barista for a year at a high-demand, small café. During this, I gained thorough experience in the role, including opening and closing, managing the till, handling money, serving customers, preparing orders and cleaning. These tasks contributed to acquiring multiple skills, as I had to balance all of this each shift, mostly working alone, while maintaining superb customer service. I also worked voluntarily at a youth group, namely 'Beavers,' as part of the completion for my DofE awards. I participated at a summer camp, acting as a leader, where I planned and demonstrated various activities. This position majorly helped my confidence for any jobs I worked in after. I aided my secondary school's library staff, helping as an assistant. This opportunity enabled my development in organisation, which I have maintained to date. I am resilient and known to be a 'people's person,' always going the extra mile for those around me, whether it's employers, customers or friends. I am motivated and believe the skills I grasped from these experiences can be applied to any field of work.

• I was form representative, for a duration of 5 years, and was awarded a certificate for being an 'unsung hero,' in year 11.




• I have completed both bronze and silver DofE awards, including voluntary work and partaking in the expeditions.




• I was captain of my secondary school's netball team for 2 years, and I was a part of the team for 3 years prior to this (years 7-11.)




• I received a silver medal and certificate for a mathematical tuition program, Kumon, placing 14th in the country for my age group at the time
