I have had a long and diverse career in social care . This has included roles with children, teenagers, and adults. Most recently with women who have had multiple children removed from their care.

I am working intensively with a small caseload of women who have had their children removed from their care. Including engagement, relationship building, assessment, advocacy, support and referral to and liaison with a wide range of agencies. The women have experienced multiple traumas and have issues with mental and physical health, poor relationships, substance misuse homelessness and poverty. I work collaboratively with the women and other agencies to make improvements in the areas of their life that they choose.

Work within the Mental capacity act (IMCA) and Mental Health Act (IMHA) also Relevant persons representative for LPS previously DOLS.
Providing information and advocacy for patients in the NHS and users of adult social care.
Community Advocacy for mental health patients, parents in public proceedings, housing complaints,
NHS complaints.
Development of specific support for teenage parents across children’s centres.
Engagement with and development of services for teenage parents.
Managed supported accommodation and resettlement schemes for young people aged 16-25 years old.

These have included most recently: Trauma informed support; DV awareness including domestic homicide; GDPR; Health and safety; Mental health knowledge and awareness; Mental Capacity Advocacy including LPS (DOLs);
