Sales Administrator

Derek Slack Motors
Middlesbrough, Cleveland
02.2011 - 01.2013

I worked on my own aswell as part of the sales team to ensure a professional and efficient sales process for customers.

This role entailed constant liaising with the team and to ensure that vehicles were prepped and ready for sale and advertised accordingly. It was my responsibility to ensure new vehicles were ordered from the manufacturer correctly including cars with multiple specifications as added extras. Once the vehicles arrived at the dealership, I would check the vehicles over for any damage and mileage after they had been taken off the transporter. The vehicles then had to be brought onto our software system as stock and customer invoices prepped ready for handover. I would then ensure the vehicles went through the correct PDI stages, which involved booking them into the workshop to have their checks or work carried out. Prior to customer collection, I had to use another software system that linked directly to the DVLA to register the vehicle to the customer, and tax it. I formed good customer relations and communication with our customers to ensure excellent customer service.

I

Any part exchange needed to be brought into stock on the dealer software and prepped for trade or resale.
