Alistair Parr

• Designed a temporary exhibit for the Lapworth Museum of Geology on campus to celebrate the museum's 125th anniversary, gaining experience in exhibition design and maintenance and learning how museums catalogue and store artefacts.

• Volunteered at both the Derby Museum of Making and the Derby Art Gallery by helping over 100 each day visitors navigate their way around the museums and engage with the artefacts granting experience on working with members of the public and how museums operate.

• Working at the Waterside Café' at Alvaston Park in Derby, managing the main cashier, handling over £1000 every day, serving over 200 customers per day, cleaning after hours, becoming established in the speciality eatery industry and becoming an essential part of the logistics, maintenance and operations of the Café.

• Involved in excavating fossilised trees and fauna at the fossil forest site in Brymbo by working in a team to remove and preserve 60 delicate fossils using geological tools. This was done to establish the groundwork for the Stori Brymbo Museum.

Part-time researcher for family consultancy business, responsible for investigating clients and industries.

• Worked at Pride Park stadium in Derby, selling products, handled over £800 per shift, performed maintenance checks and increased sales by 5%.

• Taught Chemistry, Physics, and Biology online for 6 hours every week, developing interpersonal skills and scientific communication skills.

• Successfully renovated the Long Eaton Family Support Centre by securing over £500 in funding and refurbishing the exterior facility.
