HOBBIES / VOLUNTEERING/ AWARDS

Part of the Northumbria University mountaineering and forensic science society. As well as the running club and rowing club. Taking part in certain events such as the movember challenge, raising money for charities, and sport days such as races and rowing regattas., In 2025 took part in a project all the way in Nairobi, Kenya with Greenfield Foundation. An organisation which hires students to help make life better for the kids at the schools in the local slums who don't have very much due to the extreme poverty. This included doing repairs at school like replacing the roofs, built an extension for a classroom and even made a new kitchen for the cooks. Also taking part in sports activities with the children like athletics, football, dancing and basketball. Even helped with the cooking for breakfast, lunch and even handing out the school meals once it was prepared., Last summer this year did a very similar project with IVHQ in Thailand doing building and renovation at a school. Our project this time was to paint and decorate the school, including the playground so it looked artistic and colourful for the kids on the sports day and even made new athletics pitch too., Also took part with a company called Choose a Challenge and our goal was to fundraise money for a certain charity. In this case it was for HFT supporting adults with learning disabilities and did certain events like selling shots at night-clubs, bake sales and help take part in marathons or walks. Once our target was reached, we had the opportunity to travel and go hiking in the Andes mountains Peru., For volunteering in all these different countries and completing the full duration a certificate was awarded for each trip.
