While based at the Army foundation college Harrogate (AFC-H), I was in a training role learning the basics of soldiering and preparing to move on to the next phase of training. However during my time at AFC-H I participated in:
. A special role at the remembrance day service, assisting disabled veterans with ascending stairs.
. Passing my weapon handling test (WHT) qualifying me to safely operate the standard service rifle of the British armed forces the SA80
. Disassembling and reassembling the SA80 under time pressure
.Taking an active role in presenting a chosen battle honours of my chosen regiment to over 40 fellow recruits
In March 2024, I undertook a week-long work experience placement at Blakesware Estate in Wareside, Hertfordshire, where I was supervised by the Head Gamekeeper. During my time there, I was involved in a variety of tasks, including:
