Educated to degree level, I pursued a career in clinical research. Over the next 30 + years, I learnt all the skills necessary to Project Manage clinical trials. I have good communication skills and possess the attention to detail required to work in the medical industry. I thoroughly enjoyed my career, but when it became too computer focused, I decided it was time to retire.
When the family were young, I worked part-time for two local businesses as a Book-Keeper (Aitch's Wine Bar and Litton Properties).
I am very interested in history and enjoy living in the Peak District with such beautiful countryside on the doorstep. Haddon Hall has always been a favourite venue of mine. It captures your imagination as you take a step back in time.
I was responsible for the day to day book-keeping tasks for this property development company, I handled all the receipts from the tenants and spoke to them regularly on the telephone.
I processed invoices and raised payments as needed.
Using Sage Line 50, I managed the accounts online and helped with the staff wages for this busy family run, local restaurant.
