  • Managed my own team of up to 600 people at a time and learned a great deal about nutrition, how to motivate and inspire other team members and how to help my private clients on a one to one basis to get into the right mindset to achieve success.
  • I built a very successful business and was lucky to be flown all over Europe by Herbalife to train others in Sweden and Finland (twice) Switzerland, Ireland, Austria, Denmark, Venice, Germany and France.

  • It was a very busy and varied role and required very high levels of organisation.
  • I worked directly with theatre directors and all theatre staff managing holiday allowance, time off in lieu, disciplinary procedures and mediation, calculating and organising payment of overtime (in accordance with Bectu and/or Equity) organising theatre press nights and managed the logistics of the complete cinema refurbishment
  • I also managed the recruitment of staff from advertising in The Stage, organising interviews, interviewing staff, issuing contracts and staff induction.

TELEVISION PRODUCTION MANAGER

  • Persued a freelance career as a Production Manager and worked for a number of different production companies - often returning to the BBC on a freelance basis.
  • PRODUCTIONS INCLUDED: "Soul II Soul" World Tour - this involved organising a World Tour for the band starting with" rehearsals in Los Angeles, then on tour in Japan, Australia and then tour buses right across the USA
  • Developed filming, editing and transmission schedules and was solely responsible for managing overall series budgets in excess of £1m.
  • Worked on series such as "Naked Sport" - a documentary series for Channel Four on the American Sports industry featuring Michael Jordan and many other high profile American athletes at the top of their game
  • "Soul by the Sea" - a documentary for Motown and the BBC filmed in Jamaica featuring artists such as Stevie Wonder, Boys II Men, Ziggy Marley and The Temptations. "BBC Documentaries" I then returned on a longer term contract to work on mainstream primetime BBC-1 series such as: "Airport" "Children's Hospital" "Inside Story" "Even Further Abroad with Jonathan Meades" "Modern Times" "Intensive Care" "Soldiers"
