  • First point of contact for students and parents
  • Effective and consistent pastoral support including monitoring attendance and behavior, and sharing valuable information to facilitate student progress.
  • Responsible for attendance within the year group – including first day absence telephone calls, home visits, liaison with EWO, attending Attendance Panel and other meetings regarding students’ attendance
  • Supporting and building relationships with families and students to help maximise their achievement and wellbeing in school.
  • Supporting and mentoring pupils who have been the victims of incidents with other pupils during the school day.
  • Coordinating the investigation of behaviour incidents involving students, taking statements where necessary. This includes liaising with parents regarding investigations/problems/sanctions
