As a Business Development Executive I was assigned to accounts on my territory which consisted of the main four leading Supermarkets, for example Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco and Morrisons also Boots. The client I am currently working for is GSK which has a large variety of products ranging from Pharmaceutical to Health & Beauty. My main role involves activating National Promotions and compliance on change over dates, speaking to Store Colleagues regarding upcoming new products, taking orders for extra displays and gaining sites. Activating Point of Sale is also vital in my role as well auditing GSK products. Building a good customer relationship with Store Colleagues is also vital in this kind of role as this helps to build a rapport and colleagues recognise you and tend to be more forthcoming when you request any help . No day is the same as you would have different challenges to meet for example KPIs targets to hit, display targets and late changes to promotion prices.

Calling on Supermarkets ,Newsagents in my local area on a daily basis working to a call file and auditing paper deliveries with Newsagents.

The local paper also had promotions in the region where the customer would get a free gift if the newspaper was bought or they signed up for delivery. It was a fast paced job as stores would often run out of newspapers if a local story was a headline based around the area so you would go to the print site to collect surplus stock to deliver to stores or shops that had exceeded there sales.

Masterfoods was more convenience stores as I had to sell directly to customer by offering deals (BOGOF) hoping to out sell the competitor brands .Advertising was also vital to entice the consumer into the store to buy the products so lots of displays and point of sale was on view.
