A registered healthcare professional with expertise in continuity of care, paediatric medical knowledge, and intrapartum care techniques. Skilled in fetal monitoring, patient confidentiality, and rapport building. Proficient in newborn examination, suturing, pharmacology, and newborn screening tests. Experienced in caesarean section assistance, phlebotomy, breastfeeding support, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
I have also undergone further training at my current trust (NWLH) to ensure up to date knowledge on feeding support lead by a breastfeeding specialist as well as prompt, newborn life support, adult life support and medicine management. I also hold an IV passport.
The duties and responsibilities of this post were similar to my permanent role. Filling out staffing shortages to ensure patient safety was not compromised as well as applying the use of evidence-based strategies to maintain patient safety and support service users. Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility across various midwifery sectors. Leading the care for service users, addressing specific pregnancy concerns efficiently which meant at times engaging with multidisciplinary teams when necessary to ensure comprehensive support. During stressful times exhibiting calmness under pressure while managing complex situations whilst upholding NMC 6 C's standards in all aspects of care.
