Comparing Models for Receptive Fields for Natural Sound Encoding, 3rd year group project - 2025-Current

  • Collaborative project to evaluate and implement 4 predictive neural encoding prediction models (STA, STC, MNE, and dSTRF) to decode natural ultrasonic vocalisations through adapted code pipelines using PyTorch and MATLAB to analyse extracellular recordings from 46 isolated auditory cortical neurons
  • Model performance was quantified via Pearson correlation on held-out data and assessed dynamic tuning properties detected via the deep-learning-based model

Blood-Based Neurofilament Light Chain: A Road map for Implementation in Paediatric Care- 2024-Current

  • Used Covidence for managing screening processing to systematically identify and extract metrics from 39 studies on paediatric Neurofilament Light Chain (NfL).
  • Analysed aggregated cohort data to make age-dependent biomarker references for the development of a three-phase roadmap for clinical implementation
