
Plenty of experience in the catering industry with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction, demonstrating exceptional organisational and time management skills.
Undertook a variety of roles including running the ice-cream parlour, ticket office and castle café during the Castle's visitor opening days and special events. These roles involved key customer service skills, kitchen hygiene, working under pressure during busy periods and taking payments.
Through working as a barista I learned how to make a variety of drinks as well as different latte art techniques. I also worked alongside other staff during busy periods to maintain a smooth flow in the café. I responded promptly to customer complaints, using initiative to solve any issues. Other duties included pot wash, clearing and cleaning tables and closing down at the end of a shift.
My roles in this job included serving food to customers, clearing tables and re-stocking cakes and pastries. In this capacity, I learned how to deal with customer queries and complaints, collaborated with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and helped to maintain a clean and tidy work area.
Bronze level Duke of Edinburgh Award and currently working towards the Gold award.
