I have involved in a lot of charity work organised a bake sale in which my friends and I raised a large amount of money which went towards a 10k race for life donation page which generated £5,000 towards cancer research. From this, it really inspired me to do more for charities whilst I have the opportunity too. I later volunteered at the Hospice of The Good Shepherd for one of their fundraiser events. I spent the day at different stalls and even learnt the art of glitter paint ! I also raised £800 by myself whilst raising money for the 5K pretty muddy run in June 2024. I hope to do more work like this in the future and do as much as possible to help these well-deserving charities. My involvement with this charity work has taught me many skills regarding self-management, resilience and communication skills.
I received a Level 6 merit under the Trinity London exam board and previously a Level 2 distinction.
UKMS Teaching Assistant
I volunteered over the summer with the UK military school scheme. During my voluntary work here, I participated in team building tasks such as go kart making and raft building. I learnt, as well as the children, the importance of communication and how vital it is to complete any task.
