Volunteering

CISV

Since the age of eleven, I have worked as a volunteer for the international charity CISV. CISV works globally to promote International Peace, Sustainability, and Human Rights. For one of these years, I was the Local Junior Representative for the Northwest Branch, winning elections for this role. This involved monthly organising of two hours of challenging and relevant team-building activities for youths aged 8 to 18, from diverse

backgrounds.

Aged 15 I also spent a month in Brazil with this charity, as a facilitator on an international camp. This involved looking after, and entertaining, forty- eight 11-year-olds, from 12 different countries (many of whom did not speak English). I hope to volunteer as an adult leader at further camps.

Animal Rehabilitation Volunteer

In June 2023, I spent a month working at an animal rehabilitation centre called Wildtracks in Belize. I worked days of 14 hours for 28 days straight as the primary caretaker of 3 Antillean Manatees. During this time, I learnt how to safely handle animals and the importance of ethical animal rehabilitation. I developed skills efficient time management as animals relied on a strict schedule for medicine and feeding. I also developed better resilience when dealing with stress and the emotional aspects of

caring for sick animals.

Drivers Licence

• I have a full and clean category B UK driver’s license.
