As part of my volunteering section for Duke of Edinburgh, I volunteered at an animal sanctuary and continue to do so.


Key responsibilities:


  • Assist in the daily care and maintenance of the animals to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Teamwork & time management: Engaging with other volunteers and staff so that the tasks are completed correctly and in timely manner.
  • Attend training sessions to develop my knowledge of animal welfare and practical care techniques.

The Community Grocery serves as a bridge between a food bank and a supermarket.


Key responsibilities:


  • First point of contact for customers - Assisted with queries and provided exceptional customer service to enhance the shopping experience
  • Stacked the shelves and rotated stock to reduce any instances of expired or outdated inventory.
  • Fully till trained in completing transactions: responsible of handling money, the till and pdq machine
  • Team work and multi-tasking was also a huge part of this job.
