As the Events and Partnership Specialist for Hendy Group, my role sees me look after all Group events, along with supporting the wider Marketing team with smaller franchise events. I am solely responsible for the activation and continuation of all Group and Brand partnerships.
The events aspect of my role allows me to work with wider areas of the business, predominantly the Sales Department, as well as external stakeholders, to plan and execute all events, ensuring effective delivery. I coordinate all logistics, from smaller events to large scale events that have seen up to 500 people attend. I have assisted in the organisation of fundraising events, sports events and family events. A key aspect of this role is to understand and make sure that the events we hold and attend are meeting our strategic business objectives, ensuring a successful outcome.
Within the partnership role, I am the sole contact for all Hendy Group partnerships, from the more corporate partners to the smaller community collaborations. A large aspect of this role is building rapport with key external stakeholders to ensure we are meeting key objectives for both parties. I plan and deliver all activations and campaigns with the relevant partner, including coordinating and delivering all supporting marketing activity, whilst making sure I hit all timing requirements.
One of my key responsibilities within this role is to plan and deliver all Group sales campaigns and events. This includes working with stakeholders across the wider business, budget tracking, multi-channel marketing activity, working with suppliers to ensure effective delivery, and small-scale event planning.
I look after all analysis and performance measurement for Group events and partnership activations, including ROI reporting, media analysis, and GA4 tracking.
As a Marketing Apprentice at Hendy Group, my role is fundamental to the marketing team, responsible for partnerships, events, and Hendy Car & Van Store, the used vehicle division of Hendy Group.
In this role, my remit is to look after all Group partnerships, from larger corporate initiatives, such as AFC Bournemouth to smaller regionalised collaborations. As an example of a successful partnership campaign, further to building the rapport, I would also co-ordinate and deliver all supporting marketing material, including advertising campaigns, point of sale, branding and product placement.
Additionally, I am responsible for all group events, working with colleagues around the business, our partners, and external suppliers to plan, execute, and measure our events program, ensuring successful delivery. On completion of an event, my role is to assess if we have met our strategic business objectives and provide feedback and recommendations for future opportunities and partnerships.
Further to the above, I am solely responsible for the marketing of Hendy Car & Van Store, working closely with Brand Managers, Head of Brand Performance and Sales Mangers, to meet key business objectives. My role includes running the day-to-day marketing activity, targeting existing customers and new business using an integrated marketing mix. To ensure success, I work closely with external suppliers to deliver strategic and creative marketing campaigns.
For 7 years, I worked at Rebecca’s After School Club/Holiday Club as a Child Playworker. My role involved looking after the children, communicating professionally with both children, adults, and colleagues, as well as systemizing all aspects of the paperwork, additionally, planning appropriate activities each day increased my creativity and intuition. I also had the responsibility of managing and creating content for the Rebecca’s social media accounts.
For just under 2 years, I worked as a waitress at the Hiltonbury Farmhouse. Experience in the hospitality industry allowed me to work unquestionably well under pressure and expand my problem-solving skills. I have improved my managerial skills by being able to take lead and manage other staff members responsibly to ensure that everything runs smoothly. My communication skills, both verbal and listening, have developed by ensuring customers’ needs and wants have been met.
