I am first and foremost a scenic artist, but I also have a background in lighting, sound, projection and management. I have over three years of experience, having done multiple work positions in and out of College and University. I'm currently adding more skills to my repertoire such as Welding and Poly carving while improving my proficiency in skills such as carpentry, model making and prop creation. I'm skilled in working with and leading teams, creating sets using small budgets and working within deadlines to create grand and intricate sets.
As a FOH member I worked with monetary transactions and seating arrangements and provided assistance with questions and problematic guests. I was taught health and safety measures such as fire training and I acquired basic medical knowledge from the role. For ASM I learned how to quickly change set pieces, repair scenery and props, do get ins and get outs for all departments and went beyond the parameters of my job description to improve the quality of productions', such as filling in background roles.
Helped throughout a production of an episode of 'It Takes Two' for the BBC. I was shown how design came into play not only for the set but for costumes, lighting, video and sound. I was taught and helped add audio into montages they showed on air and was shown the lighting plan and sequence for the show run. I was then shown how a live show countdown and subsequent recording was completed and ran and what each department needed to work on and collaborate with.
