Highly motivated aspiring fabrication engineer with hands on work experience in a live manifacturing environment. Seeking an apprenticeship to further my career with a focus on precision and problem solving. Throughout my time at Metal Craft I shadowed a staff member who showed me the process from start to finish which included CAD drawings and design, laser cutting, forming, bending and shaping of sheet metal and raw materials.
After initially shadowing and watching TIG welding I was deemed competent enough to weld test pieces unsupervised with a view to the end of my placement weeks moving to production parts. so I designed a metal xbox controller stand as well as a metal shelf. I designed cut and welded the stand and managed to finish both pieces before the end of the work experience.
