As a refuse collector my duties were as follows, I worked as part of a team completing rounds in the Lancaster and Morcambe area. I was responsible for the collection and sorting of general waste, operating the rear controls of a garbage truck and acting as a banksman for the driver when required.

In this role I was responsible for taking deliveries, checking for damaged or missing items, using lifting equipment to move stock around the warehouse and monitoring stock levels. I made sure that the items were stored correctly and also packed the goods to be dispatched.
During my time at Lakeland I trained multiple employees in tasks such as shelf stacking, item picking and the packing of goods.
