Currently looking to continue my apprenticeship in becoming a qualified electrician with NG baileys and joining hopefully as a second year apprentice in September, as I have heard from current colleagues who have worked for Baileys say that its a brilliant company to work for especially for apprentices. I have been cleared to a high government security clearance and have experience in all aspects of industrial electrical instalments within and around a nuclear manufacturing site including: Tray, Ladder, Strut, trunking, conduit, dressing cables, terminating cables and pulling cables all while following strict Health and safety principles.
During my time here I have learnt a great deal about industrial electrical instalment and have experience in installing conduit, tray ,ladder and Unistrut. I have also pulled in cables, dressed them and terminated a range from 2.5 singles to 185mm 3 core. Whilst also learning and understanding site safety culture and experiencing what its like to work in a nuclear environment including ATEX and CompEx environments. Due to this I also have a great understanding of following POWRA's and risk assessments.
Here I learnt a verity of useful information regarding a multitude of trades and a larger understanding of tools and how to speak to clients and customer, During my time here I was trained on the timber saw so I spent time following customers orders and advising them on the correct timber.
This was my first job out of school and it taught me alot about being on time, being respectful and having a good attitude at work. Here I mainly focused on menswear specifically The visual merchandising Whilst also communicating between staff and management as a Staff rep.
Came second for apprentice of the month in January within the entirety of Bracknell and Wokingham college due to having an excellent start on my OTJ hours and being audited showing my work to be a high standard.
