Summary

I have coached at Penryn Gymnastics Centre for 9 years now, and have been the head of Men's Artistic for the last 8. During this time I have established a strong regional presence for the club which has become the largest for MAG in the South West region of England.

We now have over 40 boys in the competitive programme ranging from Novice and Junior gymnasts all the way up to Elite national medallists. One of my gymnasts has received a place on the national Great Britain Development Squad and I have gained valuable experience from the National coaches there with the fundamentals of high performance gymnastics.

I have completed my level 4 Performance Men's Artistic coaching course and am currently part way through my level 5 high performance coaching course.

Over the last 4 years I have had experience taking gymnasts to compete at both the British and English Championships with full FIG standard routines for their ages.

This year one of our Disability gymnasts became the Junior British Champion at the Disability level and has won a total of 10 national medals. Working together to overcome the challenges that additional needs present has been a valuable collaborative effort.

I'm organised and confident with planning long term goals for each athlete and preparing programmes to ensure training is done in an efficient and effective way. I have a good knowledge of the code of points and can develop strategic decisions to suit the different learning styles and body types of a range of gymnasts.

Furthermore, I am currently the competition secretary for the South West region of the UK and have 4 years' experience in hosting MAG events, and working collaboratively with other clubs in the region.

I would be excited to work with clubs that have a strong competitive vision and share in the values of high performance gymnastics created in a positive club culture.
