In this Job my role is a head fitter which means I have to lead a team of 2 throughout the day, this means I am specialised in the installation of patterned loft flooring systems, timber and Ali ladders and much more.

I started this job as an apprentice which I attended Cardiff and vale collage to complete my NVQ, which has now led me to become qualified.

Types of work I have undertaken include;

loft conversions

extensions

cutting in roofs

staircases

floor boarding

plaster boarding

insulation

skirting/ architrive

general labouring

In this role I started as a team member and progressed up to a shift runner. Working as a shift runner taught me how to successfully run a team sensibly and efficiently.
