  • Understanding of the child's development to plan activities to meet children's needs for them to reach the best outcome in their development
  • Help out at meal times , changed nappies and assisted children to use toilet.
  • Help children's development with learning-through-play activities, to help their growth of social, emotional and educational growth.
  • Developed bonds with children for comfort and safety within nursery. Had my own key group where I kept track of their development and to see if they needed extra support
  • I took out daily observations with my key children and communicated with parents to help track their development, this included doing quick assessments and ASQ
  • Organised and led activities for all children

  • Maximised child engagement by participating in singing, role-playing and storytelling.
  • Coordinated age-appropriate activities to enhance learning development, including art, music, physical activities and role play.

  • My role as an Early Years Mentor is to support and mentor staff who are training to be Level 2/3 practitioners , I communicate with their college tutors and management to keep track of their work and set them deadlines when their work has to be completed. I liaise with management , college tutors and apprentices with progress which has been made.
