I managed and led a small procurement team that specialised in the buying of electronics including tactical and strategic sourcing.

• Executed purchasing orders, improving stock inventory levels.
• Ensured compliance with company policies and procedures in all buying activities.
• Negotiated pricing for apparel and accessories from vendors to secure optimal pricing and keep costs low.

I have currently been in the buyer position at Chelton for 2 years for the most part as an electronics buyer which involved the below responsibilities.

• Responsible for sourcing and order placement ensuring goods were delivered and ordered on time.
• Managed and maintained order books on a weekly basis working with suppliers to ensure a good on time delivery and expedite orders when required.
• Identified opportunities and risks, and inspire cost efficiencies and process improvements.
• Organize and conduct weekly meeting's with various key suppliers located in Europe and the US to develop and improve account relationships.
• Initiate and own projects to drive cost reduction and the business efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
• Provide a high level of communication to other function's of the business on a day to day basis.

While working in the repair/aftermarket production cell I was also the only solder trainer which carried out training to IPC J-STD-001 at Chelton Marlow.

• Responsible for maintaining quality standards through training of new/existing employees.
• High level of organizational skills were required to maintain 60 + employees certifications.
• Provide knowledge and solutions to new/existing product in order to achieve a higher quality and process improvement.
• A level of inspection was also required as I was responsible for signing off employee's to work on aerospace product and to IPC Class 3.

I worked within a small team of 6 in the repair/after market production cell which worked on a various wide range of Antenna, Avionics and Land product.

• Demonstrated a wide range of skill's as this was required to repair the large variety of product. This include soldering, electronic testing and machining.
• Participated in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Provided flexible and extended working hours to ensure customer need date's were met.

I completed an apprenticeship at Chelton which included 6 month rotation's around the business that included Antenna and Avionics production, Test, Paint shop, Quality Inspection and the after market repair cell.
