My current senior leader role offers varied management of the company as a whole. From operational management of the company as a business to liaising with colleagues and customers, I have experience of making personal connections with people to bring the best result for them and for the company. I currently manage managers, other colleagues and contractors across multiple sites and so I am used to travelling across the UK to meet with the teams for a broad range of projects.
I regularly report to the board of Directors with regards to people, projects and budgets. I lead in these key areas to ensure the sustainability and growth of the company. I am focused on highlighting KPI’s to establish areas that require development and additional support.
- Tactical business leadership with solutions orientated approach to provide business growth, profitability and future sustainability of the company developing and utilising a strategic 5 – 10 year growth plan resulting in an increased turnover of £3 million during this period.
- Day to day management of a team of 60 across multi sites including the management and development of department managers to ensure high team performance, efficient processes, measurable outcomes and smooth running of the company
- Excellent knowledge, understanding and management of current health and safety best practices with a proven track record
- Overall responsibility and accountability for health and safety for the company.
- Writing and generating task specific in-depth method statements and risk assessments for projects and employees.
- Delivery of appropriate Human Resources as and when required to include recruitment, appraisals, conflict resolution, employee investigations, warnings and dismissals using clear verbal and written communication for an effective result
- Creating and continually developing company policies and procedures such as but not limited to health and safety, environmental and business continuity plans to ensure safe practices and smooth operation
- Working with team managers to ensure that these policies are implemented and best practice followed at ground level
- Reporting to board of Directors on cash flow regulation, profit and loss statements and overall viability of income streams
- Meeting and exceeding agreed targets in relation to income and reduced wastage always seeking the most efficient processes
- Responsible for delivering high quality customer experience, developing and strengthening relationships to maintain continual business contacts supporting the customer from inception through to design and project completion
- Regularly dealing with urgent employee and operational issues within the company in and out of usual office hours requiring the need to prioritise and find the best solution given continually changing circumstances to maintain project schedules and ensure safe procedures
- Advance IT skills and awareness
- Creation, implementation and continual development of IT infrastructures and IT programmes within the company specific to the industry to collect data against KPI’s and improve efficiency
- Excellent organisational skills and project management skills on a day to day level including larger projects such as planning and overseeing site moves and large contracts
- Preparation and presentation of tenders for multiple major contracts to multimillion pound sites with a proven track record of securing contracts within key UK infrastructure such as Severn Trent Water, National Grid and Air liquide UK.
