My role for North London Hospice is a retail assistant where i have to organise all the clothes on the rack, making sure the men's sides face towards the staff room and the women's towards the outside. I have to take delivery's for the shop as well. I also got taught how to use the cashier stand as well as have significant customer service when serving customers. For example, whenever a customer buys glass or very fragile objects, i would always wrap the objects in the newspaper and give it to the customers. Furthermore, whenever the clothes are ready to be put on display from the back in the staff room, it was always my duty to rack them and place in the correct place.

• Greeted customers, helped locate merchandise and suggested suitable options.
• Stocked merchandise, clearly labeling items and arranging according to size or color.
• Monitored sales floor and merchandise displays for presentable condition, taking corrective action such as restocking or reorganizing products.
• Used POS system to process sales, returns, online orders and gift card activations.
• Organized store merchandise racks and displays to promote and maintain visually appealing environments.
• Actively engaged customers to provide general assistance and information on store merchandise.
• Worked closely with shift manager to solve problems and handle customer concerns.
• Worked with loss prevention in monitoring shopper behavior.
• Logged reports, expenses, receipts, and sales in company database.

During my time, I learnt a lot of digital management and how technology really is the future. It was great!! My responsibility/role was organising students data within the database using Microsoft Excel. I had to be extremely alert and cautious about deleting any vital data. I had to reduce all GIGO and any redundant data within the data otherwise not only will there be duplicates but also a lack of disk space will be lost costing the business lots of money for upgrading storage. In addition to this role, i must have a keen eye for detail for all queries.
