
I monitored weight training and fitness trends, offering new, unique programmes for optimal customer enjoyment and loyalty, as well as making new members feel supported and motivated to start their fitness journey. Furthermore, I was able to support members in improving physical health through carrying out assessments, which included working out body composition, taking blood pressure, working out cardiovascular endurance etc. and create a beginners training programme tailored to their goals and ability. I delivered inductions with beginner training programmes for new members, ensuring confidence and competence in showing how to perform each exercise with correct form and answering any exercise specific questions. I maintained a clean, safe gym environment, carrying out various cleaning tasks to maintain high company standards.
Working as a front of house team member meant I always had to maintain cleanliness and order in communal spaces, creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers/guests. Similarly to working in retail, I always made sure to greet guests warmly and professionally on arrival, promptly directing them to allocated tables or showing them to their given rooms when checking them in. I am able to navigate bookings swiftly using booking.com software, as well am able to answer and help resolve enquiries from guests. Working on reception also means I'm confident with answering numerous telephone calls throughout the day and forwarding any necessary information to the rest of my team so any enquiries can be resolved effectively.
Working as a retail assistant and my position being mainly in the till area, I assisted customers with product selection and sales, recommending items to increase transaction value tailoring the choices to their specific needs. I could confidently resolve customer complaints if there were any and process issues with minimal hesitation and proactively. I operated cash registers with accuracy and processed cash and card transactions, and when I wasn't behind the till, I constantly monitored display stock levels, replenishing any that required it so that the sales floor was consistently well-stocked. During seasonal sales I updated product labelling and promotional pricing, as well as maintained knowledge of the promotions, refund guidelines and payment policies, providing reliable customer advice.
