• Specialist for gas chromatography analysers
• Perform annual servicing liaising with customers for access to site equipment and head office for service consumables
• Perform stability checks and optimize equipment to ensure accurate and repeatable readings
• Provide timely resolution of faults, feedback to customers where sample flows and pressures have been set up incorrectly
• Create comprehensive service reports for all work undertaken at customer's sites
• Keep customer informed of new technologies and report where equipment is obsolete or no longer supported
• Calibrate, maintain and fault diagnosis on a wide range of instrumentation ensuring compliance to international standards
• Instruments maintained and calibrated in potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX) with both EX (explosion proof) and IS (intrinsically safe) methods of protection
• Collaborate with Business Development Managers to sell Service Agreements to cover maintenance and annual calibration of instruments
• Collaborate with outside vendors to purchase and implement a calibration records system for Emerson equipment and customers calibration records.

Commissioning, servicing and fault finding on Grid Entry Units to National Grid networks for bio-methane production

• Equipment covered includes gas chromatography, pressure, temperature, DP, Coriolis flow and gas quality analytical instruments for oxygen, H2S and moisture measurement
• Timely resolution of faults to ensure minimum impact on production.

Commissioning, routine servicing and fault finding on specialist immunohematology blood transfusion equipment

• Equipment covered were computer controlled 6 axis robotic arms with a wide range of optical cameras, barcode readers, positional sensors, precision motors and encoders
• The pipetting part of the systems run on an X, Y, Z axis system
• The machine has a self-washing system comprising level sensors, peristaltic pumps, solenoids and flow sensors
• Machines are all networked to remote databases
• As equipment is used on blood transfusion, high levels of document control were required to ensure all parts are serialized and correct lot numbers were documented
• Keep inventoried ‘car stock' to enable timely repairs in the event of breakdown.
