Alana Nicole Ross

I am a dedicated student at UHI Thurso College currently studying NC5 Engineering Systems and SVQ2 Performing Engineering Operations and Engineering Practice. I am enthusiastic, focused, and reliable, with a strong capacity for learning and a commitment to developing both my technical and personal skills.

Alongside my studies, I work part‑time at Forss House Hotel, where I regularly cover morning, evening, and weekend shifts. This role has helped me build confidence in customer service, strengthen my time‑management, and adapt well in a fast‑paced environment.

I am also actively involved in local sports and community groups, where I’ve developed strong teamwork, leadership, and organisational skills. These experiences have helped me grow into a positive, proactive individual who enjoys taking on responsibility and working well with others.

• Rugby:
  Active member of Caithness Girls Rugby, training regularly, travelling for matches, and supporting club fundraising. Completed the Young Leaders course, giving me experience coaching younger players during Sunday sessions and holiday camps. I also take part in strength and conditioning training through the Sport Scotland Institute of Sport.
• Young Farmers:
  Member of Forss Young Farmers and Caithness District Young Farmers since 2023. I enjoy taking part in a range of competitions and events, and I currently serve as Vice Treasurer for Forss Young Farmers, helping me develop organisation and teamwork skills.
