Final Project – Detecting Machine-Generated Text
As part of my MSc in Data Science, I led a capstone project focused on detecting AI-generated versus human-written text using advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning techniques. The project involved building a robust classification system using Python and object-oriented programming principles, leveraging libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and spaCy. I applied data wrangling, feature engineering, and model evaluation methods (e.g., precision, recall, F1-score) to develop a scalable and modular solution. The pipeline incorporated SQL-based data preprocessing and supported large-scale experimentation in Databricks. This project reflects my ability to apply technical skills to real-world, ambiguous problems—aligning with the Front Office Technology team's focus on building scalable, data-driven applications and solving complex challenges in fast-paced, commercial environments.
