Work history

Yoga Teacher, TTC200

The Lovely Wellness Company
London, London
09.2009 - 09.2025
  • Once a formally qualified yoga teacher, I founded The Lovely Wellness Company in 2009. I provide a selection of yoga classes for the community to enhance well-being during pregnancy, the postnatal period and beyond. The aim is to let clients enjoy time for themselves, to reconnect and relax, improving their health both physically and mentally. Classes are held in a calm, restful environment where people come to feel nurtured and restored. As well as teaching specialist prenatal and postnatal mother and baby classes, I also teach ‘Restore, Refresh, Relax’, a class available to anyone looking to reduce anxiety, stress and tension. I offer regular group classes and private 1:1 classes in Teddington, London. As a small business it is also necessary to manage all new enquiries, run booking systems and organise advertising and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborated with physiotherapists on therapeutic yoga sequences aiding injury rehabilitation.
  • Incorporated elements of breath control into lessons for improved concentration amongst students.
  • Maintained clean and organised studio spaces, promoting a serene atmosphere for practice.
  • Led engaging group sessions, fostering community and camaraderie among students.
  • Adapted teaching methods according to student abilities, ensuring inclusive learning experiences.
  • Fostered a calming environment, facilitating stress relief for students.

Each week had new themes or stories to follow, which was planned in advance depending on their learning themes that week. Up to 20 children attended each session so clear communication was vital to help keep everyone included. Patience and creativity were also essential! Reference available on request.

Volunteer Experience- Pandas Foundation

In May 2025 I onboarded with the Pandas Foundation. The charity works to support parents with perinatal mental health illness. After some in-depth training in perinatal mental health support and the completion of the necessary safe guarding exam, I now provide a monthly in-person peer support group for my community. This is an open group for parents who are struggling with their mental health to share their experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
