Nursery practitioner level 3 qualified
I started working in childcare when I was 17 years old to begin my apprenticeship studies towards my level 3 qualification. during this time, I gained confidence and skills to further my learning in childcare as well as demonstrate motivation towards working my way up the career ladder in this area of work. I've been learning team building skills As well as communication skills with my peers and parents.
Since I've been working within the nursery setting, I have gained experience supporting and aiding the development of children aged 4 months to 5 years old, being based in different age group rooms as well as covering other staff members that are on holiday or absent.
I complete day to day tasks within the setting such as changing nappies, assisting toileting, assisting meals, setting up activities, giving feedback to parents at the end of the day as well as communicating messages with my team members. Alongside this I have taken on the responsibility of being a key person to a group of children, where I upload observations and carry out assessments to help track the children's development whilst they are in the setting.
