I started dance at the age of 10 and completely fell in love with the art form. I have experience in a multitude of dance styles (ballet, jazz, modern, tap, contemporary, street, commercial and pointe work).
After taking part in English Youth Ballet's performance of 'Sleeping Beauty' in 2019, I decided that dance is something I wanted to study professionally, and I am now training at the Urdang Academy in London, looking forward to entering my 3rd year in September 2025.
I have competed in dance festivals around the country, ending my competition career by reaching the Blackpool Finals of 'Miss Dance of Great Britain', an experience that taught me a lot about performance and how to handle nerves under pressure.
I take pride in being punctual and consistent, skills I think my years of dance training have instilled in me.
I'm a bubbly and friendly person who genuinely enjoys working with children and is passionate about dance being an enjoyable activity that teaches young people more than just movement. I am very keen to teach dance full time in the future, so have recently applied for a DBS check that is currently being processed.
I was keen to do a week of intense work experience in child-care, working with children ranging from 12 months to 4 years, in order to gain the necessary skills needed when working with young children.
Whilst I was in high school education, I was keen to create an enjoyable dance club available for the Year 7's in order for all levels of dancer to come together, lean and meet new people. I ran this club alongside other students and we gained around 30 participants across the year. In the sessions, we worked on basic dance technique, making up routines and understanding the different styles of dance.
