I arrived in this country as an immigrant seven years ago and learning English was a challenge. However, this instilled in me the value of communication and I now reciprocate the support I received at school; volunteering at a primary school to help students read. During a busy school life, I have also taken many leadership roles in my school such as prefect, founder of the eco-committee and mentor. These experiences have helped me to become a proactive and independent student, rising to the challenge of carrying out the many responsibilities that the school has entrusted me with. This has prepared me well to take on leadership roles in management and economic policy in the future, as well as maximise the opportunities that university life would offer me.
