In Legend Leather, I learnt the necessary skills in certain steps to manufacturing leather couches and seats such as applying webs to seats; with the use of a staple gun alongside safety equipment, applying springs to seats alongside foam too. I successfully helped to manufacture these couches to be sold; by wrapping them up for delivery and ensuring no debris was left. I also learnt how to be a helpful and sufficient colleague, frequently tidying up the workplace and bagging up heaps of scraps to go. Overall, this job introduced me to the labouring nature of work and I gained some redeeming qualities such as perseverance, resilience, and an exceptional work ethic; where I ignore the clocks and focus on quality.
