- As a Clinical Fellow in General Surgery at Bedford Hospital, Managed both General Surgery and Urology patients, including participation in the on-call rota. I routinely assessed patients independently, formulated initial management plans, and liaised with senior colleagues. During busy on-call periods, I have frequently managed the on-call workload independently, prioritising referrals, coordinating patient care, and escalating cases appropriately to the registrar or consultant. On several occasions, when the registrar was occupied elsewhere, I have led the on-call service and communicated directly with the on-call consultant regarding patient management and clinical decision-making.
