My role is so varied and its really allowed my to experience people from all walks of life and allowed me to really appreciate life. I enjoy listening to people and being part of a team. I enjoy chipping into ideas and vocalising my opinions when appropriate. I have learnt a lot through my training and have kept this skills for life. Community care worker

Premier Community
Belper, Derbyshire
12.2023 - 03.2024

In my time for working for premier my job title was a community care worker. My roles and responsibilities included visiting service users within their homes and providing top quality care to those who needed it the most. This included personal care so ensuring that I kept professional at all times was so important. Maintaining dignity for services users was such an important thing to me to ensure I was keeping to a high standard. Every call was different so person centred care was important as services users. My induction training included manual handling which showed me the correct way to handle service users in a safe way. The job was tough but seeing peoples faces when you have either relived them of discomfort or just making them laugh really was very rewarding and kept me going. Keeping patient confidentiality was so important especially working within the community and going in and out of peoples homes it was important to always make sure to keep information private about each service user.

Duty manager

Central England Co-operative
Wirksworth, Derbyshire
01.2022 - 12.2023

As a duty manager at the co op i was 18 years old. I showed a lot of interest to my line manager at the time that I wanted to progress as well as studying for my a levels. I wanted to prove to myself that i could take on such a responsibility like running the day to days of a store and having people re lie on me for help and advice. My responsibilities included checking stock levels for the shop, ensuring my colleagues were set tasks and that these were met to ensure great customer service, dealing with cash for the tills and cashing up at the end of the shift, this was a massive responsibility to uphold so I ensured I took a lot of pride in doing this. I also had jobs such as answering calls from the general public about any queries they had about stock levels or products within the store. My role was also very face to face with customers and dealing and resolving any complaints customers had. Being in a 'manager' role at a young age I had colleagues who were more mature in age than me and I had to learn respect and trust from them but I always ensured I did the same back to colleagues. I delt with other colleagues of the co op which included our lorry drivers that delivered all out stock to us and this included taking receipts of stock and inputting them into our system, also communicating with them about delivery times for stock and volume of it to. I also ensure I maintained cleanliness standards within the store so customers always had a quality experience. I had to ensure I promoted a safe working environment for all that was involved and always followed procedures if anything was to go wrong.
