· Oversee logistics operations, ensuring efficient planning and coordination of activities

· Manage European import and export shipments following Brexit regulations, liaising with customs agents and service provides to ensure procedures are met and documents are in place

· Check accuracy of documents against purchase contracts, contracted price, payment terms and relevant certifications (Fairtrade, Organic, Rainforest) in order to meet import regulations

· Arrange stock releases from warehouses, manage spot releases, control onward deliveries to customers ensuring their contractual terms are met

· Arrange transport quotations and delivery from warehouses and ensure service invoices are correct

· Deal with customer and transport claims in case of stock discrepancies or damages

· Liaise with warehouses to oversee import clearance process, expected delivery dates and landing accounts

· Develop collaborative relationships with suppliers, service providers and team members to ensure smooth operational process

· Manage import container shipments and provide shipping instructions to suppliers

· Liaise with Quality Control regarding pre-shipment samples

· Communicate with Finance in submission of letters of credit

· Monitor original documents and check their accuracy and compliance for customs clearance and import authorities

· Regular liaison with warehousing administration to oversee intake to their depots

· Work with suppliers and service vendors to achieve lowest possible cost, shortest lead-time, consolidation and overall maximum efficiency with handling and movement of shipments

· Monitor costs from service providers against the rates and quotes provided

· Provide transport quotes from regular hauliers

· Respond to customer complaints in a prompt and professional manner

· Deal with import and transport claims

· Develop relationship with suppliers, service providers, customers and different teams

· Control shipments, releases and deliveries to customers

· Monitor service level of all providers

· Monitoring sea and air freight shipments, planning delivery schedules to warehouses

· Liaising with clearing agents, shipping lines and freight forwarders for smooth operations

· Budgeting freight and forwarding costs, arranging part load deliveries with contracted hauliers

· Preparing documents and payments for container release

· Completing veterinary documents required by Port Health

· Dealing with buying, sales and stock departments regarding deliveries and stock management
