In my role as an Electrician with Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, I carry out a wide range of electrical maintenance and installation duties across domestic and commercial properties. This includes attending reactive repairs, emergency callouts, and planned works while ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with current regulations. I regularly liaise with supervisors and office staff to manage workloads effectively, plan jobs and prioritise urgent jobs as well as using own initiative. I am responsible for completing electrical certification and documentation accurately, maintain van stock to avoid delays and ensuring each job is assessed properly before work begins.

The role also involves working directly with clients, including vulnerable individuals, where communication and professionalism are essential. I ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times and that work is explained clearly to clients. I complete permit-to-work documentation where required, source materials from suppliers when necessary, and ensure all work areas are left safe, compliant and tidy. Customer satisfaction, safety and quality workmanship are always priorities in my day-to-day duties.

Electrical apprentice with hands-on experience, supporting qualified electricians on both domestic as well as commercial projects. I assisted with the installation maintenance, repair and testing all of electrical systems whilst adhering to BS7671 regulations.

My responsibilities over a short-span of time were increased as I had showed great growth and skills. This was reflected by my peers as they would contact me in first instance, which reflected in my appraisals.

In my own personal time, I researched concepts I liked to improve my professional development to ensure I was efficient in each task which was provided.

Conducted picking operations, measured by percentage assessments demonstrating accuracy and capacity to perform under pressure.

Developed customer service skills in a fast-paced team setting. Conducted stocktaking activities to ensure inventory integrity. Managed customer complaints effectively, fostering loyalty during bar service.

I led a team of four to eight individuals, training them in food handling and preparation procedures. Developed leadership skills through effective team management and guidance. I facilitated adherence to best practices in food safety and hygiene standards.
